The location here is beautiful and convenient, close to everything we wanted to do, and the dinner at the restaurant was wonderful with delicious menu options.

The staff was very attentive and personable.
The location made it difficult to eat dinner anywhere but there; all of their meals were very heavy and rich. Perhaps having a few light items would be nice.

The unit we got was lovely and beautiful with a beautiful view. A sumptuous bathroom. - the staff was fantastic. - the hotel was very close to the Gorges du Tarn, the castle, and the Tarn river.

It wasn't a crowded tourist spot. Just a delightful experience in every way and the restaurant is very good
Typically smallish room and no air conditioning or fan

The relaxed style and helpful staff always on hand to help and assist whenever needed which was much appreciated.
some of the outside furniture could do with some TLC

We loved the setting of the hotel and the quality of the fine dining.
We would have liked to have somewhere to sit in the gardens in the shade other than around the pool. It would have been nice to see flowres in bloom in the gardens.

A late 15C castle in a dramatic location in the Gorge du Tarne. Staff were most friendly and willing to oblige. Dinner was somewhat pricey but a worthwhile experience. Watch out for the wine list prices! There is a solar heated outdoor swimming pool though we didn't use it.
As a 4* hotel I would have expected to be able to take a shower. Although a shower was fitted to the taps, there was no shower screen over the bath and no riser rail for the shower head. At €16 the breakfast was very poor value for money.

Liked the location and the old world feel of the place within a castle. Dinner pushed our budget but was worth it. The junior staff were delightful.
Breakfast, as described (we made alternate arrangements so it may have been better than the basic fair listed) was expensive. Some corners had been cut which took some gloss off the old world charm. Eg, My bed side cabinet had no interior base (floor) so nothing could be put in it, my wife's had only an ordinary raw particle board base out of keeping with such an item of furniture but it had no knob so was very difficult to open, power points inconveniently located making laptop use difficult. Pity the senior staff were not as affable as the junior staff.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
